My Story

"My vision is to inspire people to reconnect with their authentic selves through the power of travel and adventure."
My Personal Story
I was born in Johannesburg, South Africa and at the age of 10 moved to Athens, Greece. Growing up for me entailed learning a new language, changing multiple schools and trying to integrate in a place I never quite felt at home.

I got my Bachelors in communication and worked as a consultant for 4 years in Athens. I found myself feeling restless, out of balance and having the need to explore who I am. The crisis had just hit and everyone kept reminding me how fortunate I am to have a job. Despite my family and friends thinking I was irresponsible, I decided to quit my job and head to South America alone. I didn’t have much money aside, but I followed my heart, knowing that this step was exactly what I needed. I had no plans, no financial security, but I promised myself that I would embrace the unknown and be open to anything that was meant to come my way.

When arriving in Buenos Aires, I felt overwhelmed but at the same time empowered. I had left my comfort zone, I was in a foreign country where I didn’t speak the language and I was all alone. I ended up backpacking for 9 months. During my trip I learnt Spanish, I visited some of the most beautiful places on earth and met some amazing people that are still a part of my life. I witnessed so much happiness in some of the poorest places and was reminded time and time again how important connection, love and gratitude are. There is abundance inside of us, always, but the western world makes us loose sight of this. There are so many beautiful stories I can tell you , but the most important lesson for me was that anything is possible. We can choose to see obstacles or possibilities. That is entirely up to us.

A deep realisation I had from this trip is that we should constantly redefine happiness. Every now and then we should ask ourselves: “Am I happy?, “Am I the best person I can be?”, “Do the people around me, help me become that person?”. It’s easy to get comfortably numb in your daily routine, only to realise years later that you have been living a life very far from your heart. I’m practising every day to stay true to my values and authentic self. I hope to inspire you to do the same.

This is my personal story, and I through it, I am certain that traveling is healing. It took a lot of work, reading and introspection for me to arrive at the place I am today. If I had some guidance on the way, I know I would have arrived at this point much faster. After this experience, my vision is to help people reach their full potential through travel and adventure.
